  • Collaborated with IT and business teams to refresh the WorkInTexas.com customer and staff user interfaces. (Scheduled for implementation in 2012)
  • Produced a menu of color themes, page templates, navigational elements and form treatments for the IT team to apply to existing content in the redesign effort.
  • Used Dreamweaver to produce standards-compliant XHTML and CSS documents. Tested documents using Mozilla Firefox with Web development extensions and Firebug.
  • Applied jQuery, jQueryUI, and the 960 grid system to help provide maintainable, standardized markup.

  • Consulted with product managers, user interface architects, and subject matter and member experience experts to flesh out functional prototypes of web applications within the corporate standards process.
  • Participated in requirements meetings, Web standards reviews, member experience reviews, and usability tests. Communicated with a wide array of professionals with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Handled numerous concurrent projects with tight timelines and rapidly-changing user requirements.

Corp-to-Corp Contract with Texas Department of State Health Services / WIC

  • Consulted with subject matter experts at Texas Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program to develop texaswic.org, a Section 508-compliant participant website to provide WIC participants with 24/7 access to nutrition education and enhanced services. More than 225,000 lessons were completed by 160,000+ WIC clients within the first 24 months. Lessons had an eighty percent average completion rate and more than seventy percent of site visitors became registered users. Client feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

  • Collaborated with another developer to create a ZIP Code clinic locator utilizing Yahoo! and Google Map APIs.
  • Consulted with WIC to develop an online plan management system for 70+ local agencies to expedite preparation, state review and approval of annual plans for nutrition education, breastfeeding, and staff training. The system allows WIC local agency staff to revise and update their plans throughout the year, and WIC state agency staff may easily generate reports based upon the data entered into the system.
  • Consulted with Texas WIC to develop an online ordering system for 70+ local agencies to order supplies and materials from a central warehouse.
